Sounding Forth 2026 – Mystery Meal

Have you ever felt spiritually hungry, even when you're doing all the things you think you're supposed to do?

We often look to achievements, possessions, relationships, and even religious activities to satisfy our souls. But what if we're missing an essential part of the nourishment God has prepared for us?

As we continue Sounding Forth 2026, we explore Jesus' surprising words in John 4:34: "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work."

Jesus reveals that spiritual nourishment isn't found only in hearing God's Word, but also in putting our faith into action.

When we love our neighbors, care for those in need, encourage the hurting, and serve others sacrificially, we're not simply fulfilling a command. We're participating in God's work and experiencing the nourishment He has for our souls.

This week, we're challenged to move beyond loving only those closest to us and intentionally reach out to the people God has placed in our lives.

Loving others as Jesus loved us is nourishment for our souls. When we listen to God's direction and put our faith into action, we can experience a fuller life while helping others encounter His love.
