Spending Time with God
In this week of our “Devoted” series, we focus on one of the core rhythms of the early church: spending time with God.
The first believers were devoted to prayer, teaching, and life together—and through prayer, God moved powerfully. From Cornelius to Peter, we see how God uses ordinary moments of prayer to break barriers, transform hearts, and bring the gospel to new people.
Spending time with God isn’t about perfect conditions or spiritual performance. It’s about seeking His voice, growing in intimacy with Him, and making space for the Holy Spirit to work. Throughout Acts, prayer always precedes movement, miracles, and mission.
When God’s people commit to prayer—individually and together—the kingdom of God breaks through darkness, lives are changed, and communities are transformed.
If we become devoted to prayer, we will see God move.
