When We Are Tired, Confused, and Out of Resources

Jul 12, 2026    Scott Fiskness

There are seasons in life when we feel exhausted, uncertain, and completely out of what we need. We don't have enough energy, enough answers, enough strength, or enough resources for what is in front of us.

In John 6, Jesus meets people in exactly that kind of moment. The disciples are tired. The crowd is confused about who Jesus really is. A young boy offers what seems like an insignificant lunch. Yet Jesus takes what little is available and demonstrates that He is more than enough.

The miracle of feeding the five thousand is not simply about bread—it points us to the greater truth that Jesus is the Bread of Life. He is the One who satisfies our deepest needs and provides what we cannot provide for ourselves.

In this message we'll explore:

- What happens when our resources run out

- Why God's provision often begins with our weakness

- How the crowd misunderstood Jesus despite witnessing His miracles

- Why the disciples struggled to see what Jesus was about to do

- How Jesus alone satisfies the hunger of the human heart

Whether you find yourself weary, confused, struggling, or simply running on empty, this message is a reminder that God's provision is not limited by your circumstances.

When we bring our weakness, our questions, and our small offerings to Jesus, we discover that He is more than enough.

Join us as we learn to trust the One who still provides for His people today.
