Serving Others
In this week of our Devoted series, we focus on the calling to serve others as a core behavior of a disciple of Jesus.
As churches grow, it’s easy to drift from our mission. In Acts 6, the early church faced a “good problem” of growth—but instead of losing their way, they leaned into prayer, the gospel, and service. No one was overlooked, and no task was treated as small.
Serving others is not a distraction from the mission—it’s essential to it. Whether preaching, praying, or meeting practical needs, every act of service helps build God’s house, with Jesus as the cornerstone.
We are reminded that the church isn’t a museum, a club, or a factory—it’s a living movement, devoted to making disciples who love God and love people.
When we serve together, the gospel moves forward and lives are transformed.
