Psalms of Summer 2026 – Has God Forgotten Me?

Aug 23, 2026    Pastor Matt Sidley

Have you ever prayed and wondered if God was listening? Maybe you’ve walked through a season of grief, unanswered prayer, disappointment, or pain and found yourself asking the same question David did: “How long, O Lord?”

In Psalm 13, David is honest about feeling forgotten, alone, and overwhelmed by sorrow. Rather than hiding those feelings, he brings them directly to God.

This week in Psalms of Summer 2026, we discover that wrestling with God doesn’t mean abandoning our faith. When it feels like God has forgotten us, we are reminded not to forget Him.

David shows us how to trust, rejoice, and sing even while we wait. We can remember God’s faithfulness, celebrate the salvation we have through Jesus, and rely on His Spirit through every season.

God may feel distant, but He has not forgotten you. Whatever season you are walking through, keep talking to Him, keep trusting Him, and keep embracing Jesus.
