Sticks and Stones

Mar 1, 2026    Pastor Matt Sidley

In Week 2 of our STUCK series, we step into one of the most powerful moments in the life of Jesus.

A woman is dragged before Him—caught in adultery. The religious leaders aren’t seeking justice; they’re setting a trap. Should Jesus uphold the law and condemn her? Or show compassion and compromise truth?

He’s stuck.

Or is He?

Instead of choosing sides, Jesus reveals the full measure of grace and truth. He exposes hypocrisy without shaming the broken. He refuses to throw stones—yet He also refuses to ignore sin.

“Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”

This message challenges us to examine our own hearts in a divided world. Are we known for truth without grace? Grace without truth? Or the transforming combination of both?

Jesus did not come to condemn but to restore. And there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

We are called to be stick removers, not stone throwers.

Join us as we learn what it looks like to embody grace and truth in our relationships, our conversations, and our community.
